Dyslexia Assessment & guidance for children & adults with Specific Learning Difficulties in Victoria
The Dyslexia & SLD Association of Victoria is an association of experts from the field of dyslexia research and from the field of education. Victoria based association of psychologists and educational specialists providing for the assessment of dyslexia and other Specific Learning Disorders. We also offer screening for dyslexia, cognitive assessments, educational assessments, case management, and supervision and professional development on dyslexia and other Specific Learning Disorders. The assessments are used as a basis for remediation, accommodations and other support to optimize educational and employment outcomes for people with Specific Learning Disorders/ dyslexia.

Educational Assessment and Testing for Dyslexia and SLD
School children and adults can have a range of difficulties in engaging with learning. Detailed assessment of a child, or adult’s, cognitive abilities and educational achievement can assist in the formulation of strategies and modifications that can facilitate learning.
Our Dyslexia assessment involves the following:
- Background Information provided by parent (please see attached form)
- Assessment of cognitive strengths and weaknesses (takes about 90 minutes)
- Educational Achievement tests which includes: Spelling, Reading, Reading Comprehension, Handwriting, Numeracy/ Math’s (also takes about 90 minutes)
- Verbal feedback to you on the day of the assessment as to results
